Since 1975, OUSD Superintendent Larry Perondi has worked in the field of public education. In July 2007, Mr. Perondi was named Superintendent of the Oceanside Unified School District. During his time in Oceanside Unified Superintendent Perondi was on the forefront of great facility change, technology innovation and steady and consistent academic achievement.


As the superintendent of the district the Academic Performance Index (API) increasedyearly. Further promoting academic achievement, Superintendent Perondi led the district into anagreement with Cal State University San Marcos that guarantees admission for any and all OUSD students who meet the admission requirements. Beginning with the OUSD graduating class of 2017.

Vickie Lanoue is a well known and an experienced event planner with over 35 years of experience in corporate meeting and event planning. She has extensive experiences both domestically and internationally in planning, designing and executing large system events and meetings.


She is creative and detailed oriented with a track record of corporate success at every level. She began her event planning career for major retail stores in the Southeast and Southwest creating special events as well as developing corporate incentive programs.

Rich Thome is the former Superintendent of the South Bay and Cardiff School Districts.  In addition to serving on the Leadership Team of Monkey Business, Rich is a partner in the Executive Search Firm, Leadership Associates.


In addition to Executive searches he has conducted 100+ Board Workshops and Superintendent Evaluations. Rich serves as the Director, Business Development and Partnerships after serving as the Director, Leadership Development 
and Professional Learning for the Institute for Entrepreneurship in Education in the School of Leadership and Education Sciences (SOLES) at the University of San Diego.

Rocco Sugameli began his career in the Marana Unified School District in Tucson, Arizona as a middle school teacher and coach. He became the Associate Principal of Tortolita Middle School in 1987 and in 1992 he was named the Principal of Butterfield Elementary School.


During Rocco’s tenure at Butterfield Elementary, the school was twice named an Arizona A+ School Top 3 in the State, and in 2000 the school named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education. Rocco was named the Arizona Elementary School Principal of the Year and National Distinguished Principal in the 2000/2001 school year.

Dr. Philip Lanoue has a demonstrated record in leading school transformation at the building and district level, leading new instructional models, improving student performance and building positive community and school relationships. He is the 2015 AASA National Superintendent of the Year, as well as the 2015 Georgia Superintendent of the Year. 


In addition, while principal of Burlington High School in Vermont, he was named the Vermont NASSP Principal of the Year in 1993. Lanoue is also one of the nation’s top 50 educational innovators in digital learning as named by Converge magazine. His work in supervision and evaluation has been recognized by the University of Georgia (UGA).

Richard Thome

Mark Reardon is the founder, president, and CEO of the center point group. His educational career of over 35 years includes roles as an elementary and middle school teacher, middle and high school principal, trainer, consultant, speaker and author.


Mr. Reardon earned his B.A. in Psychology and Religion from California Lutheran University, his teaching credential from Biola University, and his M.S. in Educational Administration from California State University, Fullerton. He has dedicated his professional life to discovering and articulating what works best in teaching, leading and learning.
